The conversation with Ace is something about her having a bad strained ankle and crutches, and a smattering of Russian and German sprinkled in with the French. It looks like they've talked mostly between one in the afternoon local time, to up to four in the morning local time. Gunner - there's a conversation concerning a picture of the beach with a slightly sunburned arm visible in the photo, and it's largely in German. The last message, in French, says that there's an ExtSec officer at the door. "James" says he's safe, and he'll be fine. The most recent message is about ten minutes ago asking if he is.

Damian tugs his hat back on, and it down a little more as he slips out. He's - frankly not sure where to go. James said he could go to his place, but that's a no. He was thinking of begging for a couch with one of the Les Amis, but that - is going to put them in more danger, right? So - long ways back. Maybe he could find R? James said R was safe. Or the Cafe Theatre. He could sit there for a few hours with coffee until his hand stopped shaking. Maybe they wouldn't have that play again with the blood.

Arno's been making his own way through the streets and back alleys, using the rooftops wherever he can, to get a look at the action on the barricades and pull the people he CAN away from the worst of it. It had started with injured Guardsmen, but soon enough that had given way to the younger students, doing this out of seriously misguided ideals and trying, simply, to put all of this down as much as he can. If there's a way to collapse the barricades with no one being hurt too, that helps.

He's on his way towards the Corinthe now, and the barricade Grantaire's been attempting to deal with when he's spotting someone who looks fairly familiar, and draws closer, jumping down from the building as he recognizes him.

"Mr. Dorian?" Damian sounds - frazzled and on edge to his own ears, but really, it's amazing to see the guy. "I didn't see you -" He's looking at the barricade. "Yes. I do. I was hoping to find -" He makes a helpless gesture.

"It's not been a good night. My phone is with the police."

"Hoping to find...Ah,with the police?" That prompts a frown and a few muttered curses, then Arno's snapping to something like action in his mind. "I can cover you to somewhere safe and get messages along to Mademoiselle Yvette, if that will help. I can think of nowhere safer than our tunnels. The Cafe itself ought to be safe. We're in no position for anyone to build anything now.

I was...hoping to find out where one of my brothers had gotten to but he DOES know how to handle himself...I hope. We were apprenticed together, so what I know, Grantaire should. Within reason. Were you harmed?"

Damian's visibly relaxing. "No? I mean - he implied if I went down and visited R's friends - the guys working with a barricade, he'd arrest me or something." The "something" is what he's worried about.

"I was actually hoping to find Grantaire. Or your cafe. Just -" Damian trails off. "Someone kicked in my door. James helped get it back - uh - closing and all that, but -" He gestures shakily. "Anywhere else right now sounds amazing." He frowns. "I think Officer Javert was going to try to do something. And didn't want me to warn them."

Not having the phone isn't helping. It's scary to notice how much he's been depending on it for talking to people or something to pass the time or anything.
