Oh yeah, I've seen a few different designs. A lot of the women I work with have been there a while, or it's a family sort of thing and they've got examples. I've also been trying to come up with a swan or peacock sort of design. Or i suppose any bird that someone wanted to buy, really. The fan itself looking like feathers and a shaped handle, but my carving's not exactly there yet. Yet.
I'd like to hear about that. I've been reading a few biographies and histories.
Peacock designs back at home would totally have mica yavanite sandwiches which is - kind of dangerous. Fan them too fast and the little inlays could glow from friction. If you used the wrong sort.
I've been reading about the creation of the Canadian colonies flight schools. The theory behind them. It's pretty interesting. Also a terrible romance. Which is more interesting in the "I don't believe my bits or a lady's would work that way" sort of thing. Dialogue's surprisingly good between bad anatomy.
Yavanite, huh? That's used for...all kinds of things isn't it? I can't imagine how crazy that could be. And Oh? Neat. The concept of those is pretty fantastic in and of itself, I have to say. I don't know much about it, but I like the thought. I sort of think I'd like to do something like that someday, on a smaller scale, and well, for just the basic sorts of things. We're supposed to have a law about it here but...
Ah bad romances. Completely warping biology and the way we see it since...Well probably forever. People here still wrap their piano legs...and I wasn't supposed to actually write that word out. Oops.
Yeah. A pilot I knew told me how great the place was and he started when he was tall enough to pass for eleven.
Sad thing was, the school was better than some of his options. You don't realize how much you have until someone shows you - the gaps between, I suppose.
Really? I know that - Lorena has this thing about uncovered "those things down there" to bow to sensibilities are kind of a - improper thing. You could argue that it's safety with the yavanite dust and cold and really, if she's in trousers, you're the cad to check to see if she's got long hose on.
Meanwhile if you asked a man in a kilt to hide his knobby knees, he'd likely suggest he had a right to shiv you. People are strange and selfish like that.
What about you? What history are you reading? I haven't opened one that was serious in months.
